1st Annual Philly Beer Geek Finals Competition 2008 Calendar

Do you have what it takes to become Philly Beer Geek 2008, the most prestigious award presented during Philly Beer Week?

Contestants must win a Qualifying Preliminary Round at a sponsoring Beer Bar, Brewpub or Restaurant to be eligible for the Finals Competition on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Johnny Brenda's, 1201 N. Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA. All Qualifying Preliminary Rounds must be held between Saturday, March 1st and Tuesday, March 11, 2008.

If your Beer Bar, Brewpub or Restaurant has not yet registered, ask them to be a sponsor, register, and hold a prelim round! YOU could become Philly Beer Geek 2008 !!!

Don't forget to include your name and phone number. Deliver it in person to Standard Tap during our weekly Firkin Wednesday celebrations (held each Wed. from 6 p.m.). All entries must be received by Wednesday, March 5th at 8:00 p.m. That night the poems will be read aloud by our celebrity presenters, the winning entry determined by applause. Participants do not need to be present to win (of course you're encouraged to show up and bring your loudest friends to clap for you). The winner will continue on to the championship round of the 1st Annual Philly Beer Geek Competition at Johnny Brenda's on Thursday, March 13th.
